Help Apps Safe to Disable?

Does anyone have a list of apps that are safe to disable? I'm coming from an HTC and Samsung has a lot of bloatware I don't recognize. Don't want to screw this thing up!

I haven't disabled any on my S4 because when I disabled apps on my S3 it went ten kinds of crazy and I had to re-enable them all. I've rooted and am getting ready to go to CLEANROM 1.3 (same thing I did with S3 and it worked great).

I disabled most of the ATT apps and a bunch of others that I didn't think I would use. They go to the bottom of the ALL app list where you can re-enable them should you decide you need one.

I recently decided to try the remote control app... but couldn't get it to start. So I had to scroll down through the list of disabled apps to find the one that was linked to WatchOn and re-enable it. The remote control works fine now. ;)

Honestly, I got so pissed with the forced updates, one night... I went thru and just started wholesale disabling EVERYTHING that looked like it might remotely piss me off further.

Phone is still working great.

I saw it yesterday and bookmarked it. Today I tried to see it again. All I saw is Access Denied. I wanted to disable Voicemail to Text due to the fact it would cost $1.99 monthly. I don't want that. Please advise. Thanks!

I just purchased my new S4 on two weeks ago and like it very much.

I disabled all of the Verizon stuff and nearly all of the Samsung stuff. No problems whatsoever.

In a worst case scenario, disabling something might lead to a forced close, which you can easily fix. So, there is really nothing to risk here.

Here are screen shots of the disabled apps on my i337 as of this posting:

Is this ability to disable apps something new on the S4? Or is your S4 rooted and thus allowing this? I have a rooted S3 running JB 411, and I don't see any option to disable an app from the App Mgr, only 'uninstall'. I would normally use TIBU to freeze an app if I don't want it running. :)

Any of the apps that cannot be uninstalled have this option (but you may need to uninstall updates first). Not root related at all. :)

Ah! I see that I had been looking only in the "downloaded" apps (the default view). lol. Looking in all apps, at some of the system bloat, I do see a "disable" button. Thanks! (Learned something new today!) :)

You need to be logged into a google account because it's a google based document. Completely safe. ;)

Which version of the S4 do you have and on what carrier (as it will make a difference with what you can/can't disable).

But it always asked for permission. It won't show up for the list. Tmobile s4 version.

There is a list here but it doesn't tell you what each app does and its for the i9505. I'm sure a lot of the apps are probably common for all the phones. Use at your own risk.
