Well yeah that soft brick thing can happen with any phone lol.

Here's a list of just a few I removed. More can probably be removed but I haven't tested it.

Any google app that can be found in the play store.
MyMetro
Visual Voicemail
Samsung Apps
Flipboard
Media Hub
Music Player
Samsung Keyboard (as long as you have another keyboard installed)
Metro AppStore
Calculator
MetroWeb

Those are the only apps i know can be uninstalled without problems. Like I said there are probably more, but those are just the ones I personally uninstalled and have experience no problems. Just be sure to have a backup of what you plan on uninstalling.

So does that mean like play movies and TV? Also what about the Galaxy app store? What about swype?

Yeah along with google books, play music, etc. If you mean the samsung app store yeah you can uninstall it. No apps require that to run. As long as you have at least one other keyboard installed you can uninstall swype.

Thank you I'm going to remove newsstand and the movies I'm actually using books and music. I have SwiftKey keyboard so I'm good

just one last question what about google + hangouts and the memo app? are those safe to remove

Remember I said all google apps except play store and play services of course. Yes the memo too. Any app that's not needed to run the system can be removed.
