Help Apps suddenly don't DL or install!

When I click on Install and OK to install and agree to app access, etc., I still get the little balloon on my screen saying that the app will be downloaded and installed. Then for half a second the red downloading icon pops up in the notification bar, then disappears before I can even get to that bar. First I checked 'my apps' in the market and the ones I had that experience with were listed, but not as installed. They still had the price listed and were not installed. I tried turning the phone off/on a few times and I still can't DL/install. Now 'my apps' in the market lists about 10 out of 30 of my installed apps. Also my phone is suddenly incredibly slow. The keyboard is lagging like crazy! Ugh! Any thoughts anyone? I'd like to think it's the market being funky but since other things on my phone, like the keyboard, are suddenly acting up as well I can only wonder.

I actually found an answer on the Market forum. Here is the text from the message and a link to it is below:
1. I went to Menu / Settings
2. Applications
3. Manage Applications
4. Menu / Filter, Select Filter Options (ALL)
5 Download Manager (Clear Data)
It fixed the problem, I was able to download from the Android Market again.
