Help Apps won't download after rooting?

Hi all, I'm a n00b to the forum and to the Captivate. I've had the phone for a couple of weeks now, and I can never leave something alone without trying to tinker with it or customize it. Today I finally decided to root the phone using the One-click root. Everything worked fine and then I proceeded to download ROM manager and Titanium backup and did a backup of all of my apps and data in preparation for eventually flashing a new ROM.

I don't know what's up, but I can't download apps from the marketplace now. They just die while downloading without any warning or reason, just disappear from the notification bar. Needless to say I freaked out and un-rooted the phone with one-click unroot and then deleted ROM Manager and TiBackup. That still didn't fix it.

What the heck do I do now? Is it a market issue, or a phone issue? I've researched a bit and found a recent thread stating to clear the download manager cache, but that didn't work either. What is my next step? Factory data reset?

I am freaking out here. Everything else seems to be working fine on the phone, but this little hiccup is going to bug the crap out of me until I find a fix. I hope I didn't mess things up. :(

For the record, I have Lookout and Antivirus Free that scans the downloads before they install.

Try settings -applications -manage applications -select the market and clear data.

Already tried that and it didn't work. I finally got it though! I deleted Antivirus Free and that allowed an app to download and install! I'm not sure why it started doing that, but I'll sacrifice it just to get things working again. I feel like a **** for starting this thread now, so feel free to delete it, Mods. :o
