how do you buy apps from the android market without a credit card....is pay pal availble or is there another method to buying them ?

Try avoid buying apps if you can dude, save your money there is always a free app to do what you want. But if you need to buy an app you need a card I think.

i know what you mean...but sometimes i want to buy the payed ones because the free ones just anit as good.. the iphone has a better system in my opinion.

I know what you mean. But you got to take in to account that a lot of apps that you pay for on the iphone you can get for free on android.
Plus there aint so many dictatorial rules for developers on android. So we will rule the world one day :D

Welcome to AF

I have noticed that more and more paid apps offer the option of billing it to your phone bill. If this isn't an option you can always contact the developer and see if they have another method of payment. I know launcherpro used to take paypal to get an unlock code for launcherpro plus.

paddybhoy, welcome to AndroidForums!

I think Google will eventually have other options of payment for the apps in the Android Market (such as PayPal or carrier billing, etc.), but right now it looks like its only through having a credit card linked to your Gmail account as you've already noted.

I applaud you wanting to purchase your apps and support the developers that create them. Some developers do have other payment options, but these are developer- / app-specific and you'll have to contact them to find out what might be possible.

I have two apps out on the Market--there is a free version and a donate version that are identical in functionality. The donate version is purely there to allow folks to show their appreciation.

Eli is correct that there are many, many free apps out there, but its always welcome to encourage the developers by purchasing their paid versions, especially if you regularly use one or find it particularly helpful / useful to you.

Cheers and have a great day!
