Root Apps2sd and Nandroid Q

Hey all, I'm fairly new to rooting and I have a bit of a problem.

1.) I can't get Apps2SD to install. I follow the steps but it seems it quite doesn't work. Any idea?

2.) And how do I put a backup of Nandroid from my computer back into the phone to where it will recognize it?

and to be more brief with step 1; I was in a bit of a hurry to type it out so it is somewhat vague, sorry about that =/ Anyways I set the SD card partition to 0 swap / 512mb for the partition. It seems every time I do this though it completely wipes the SD card, then I have to completely install my ROM all over again.

Well I downloaded a zip off some website which probably is faulty, and I did the partitioning inside of Clockwork. What's the best way of going about this?

1) A2SD usually comes built into a rom. Is that what you are trying?

2) Place the Nandroid backup zip into \Clockworkmod\Backup on the SD card. Not sure it matters where you store it but this is the default location.

Yeah it has to go to the location as CWM only checks that default location. You cant browse to a restore point.
