Help Apps2SD work around issue

HI guys, I'm on Froyo, unrooted and I'm trying to do the apps2SD work around listed on a thread somewhere in the forum in order to force apps to the SD. I've downloaded the SDK starter pack and have followed the instructions up to the point where I'm stuck. So I've created the folder called android on my c: partition, and copied over the tools folder to it. I've also ticked usb debugging in my phone. Only problem now is that when I plug in my phone, windows does NOT install any drivers like the guide says it should, nothing happens at all. I've tried changing my connection setting from charge only, to disk drive, to htc sync to tethering and nothing happens. I'm sure debugging is on cause it says so to me in the notification but I cant figure out why its not working.

Thanks for your anticipated help

I'm guessing you already have the drivers installed. Have you used HTC Sync before? Anyway you should be able to continue.

Just start doing the c prompt stuff and let is know how that goes.

I did it and the only mistake I made was not opening up the sdk lol initially.

It works well and I have many more apps now including nfs shift on sd.

good luck and let us know how it goes.

yes I have already used htc sync before....ah so that's why there were no drivers to install..right! Gotcha...thanks a lot!

and chris, its cause of need for speed shift that I'm trying to do this lol

I'll try it now and report back how I get on!
