Help Aps trying to update, but appear stalled

phone shows " starting download" in each individual box and it says "currently downloading" at the top of page, but there is no indication that anything is being downloaded. I have quite a bunch of aps that need updating and they come on, but nothing happens. They're set for auto downlad. Periodically all of these aps appear and do this. Evernote, Battery Monitor widget, Dolphin, Adobe Flash, Message Ease, Lookout, Soundhound, and just a whole bunch more.
This phone is not rooted, has the latest updates as of today (but has been doing this for two weeks or so).
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I did do a search for "update aps" but didn't notice any previous problem or solution.

Mine's been doing this too. What I've done is click on the app trying to download and press cancel. Return to the update page and click update, and it downloads just fine.
