Help arc memory

I believe the 512mb of memory is the ram.... the 335mb is the internal storage, which is why you need to buy an external sd card. That's the only flaw I could find about the Xperia Arc, but most providers will give you a 2-16gb card with the phone depending on your location and who you buy it from!

I got a 32gb card, but when I loaded it to my ARC after coppying all the data from the original 8gb card, there seemed to be corrupted data on it. my music didn't play correctly and stuff like that.

Do I need to do anything special with the new card ?

Cheers Guys

same thing happened to me when I changed from a 2GB to 8GB memory card. (8GB is sufficient for me as I dont want to use my phone as a music or movie player, I have an iPod for that purpose) I did not unmount and nothing was working right. I uninstalled and re installed all the programmes and recopied some music and all the photos again from scratch. That is why you have to back up every now and then. :) hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.
I seem to get about 10 albums on ok, then any more albums sound corrupt and twist skipping tracks that sort of thing, and these are straight off the cd's.

I have no idea if or what i'm doing wrong here :(

I think the actual internals consist of 512MB RAM, and 512MB Flash/ROM, but the 320MB (approximate) figure is what youre left with after the OS is installed.

I've seen spec sheets which state the phone has 1GB internal storage, but i find it hard to believe the OS suddenly takes 700MB when android 2.3 runs fine on my HTC hero, which only has 512MB ROM.

Where did you buy your SD card from? This has all the hallmarks of a fake or faulty card.
