Any one find that not all charge cables are created equal? My phone went flat today whilst plugged into a car charger even though the charge indication was showing and the car was running.
I've used a few different charger cords, and believe it or not, I find that the cords that come with the phones work MUCH better than the cheap ones that can be had on ebay.
look into getting a "high speed usb 2.0" cable. its twice as thick as the normal cable that came with the phone. i had issues with my brand new gs3 not charging when i first bought it and after getting that cable it charges from 15%-100% in a little over an hour if left alone
I use mostly the higher end, gold plated usb cables from www.monoprice.com, I like the 6 got cables that run under $2 each. I have some 15 foot cables, but they really extend charging time due to the length (I assume drop across the long cable).
Not necessarily the cable. Check the output current of your charger, it needs to be 1 amp or greater to charge the phone while you use it. Yes not all cables are equal I spent away too long once trying to find out why my computer wouldn't connect to my phone through usb even though it was charging. Use the stock cable if you ever suspect a problem.
I think car chargers have a fuse that goes dead after a while too. I had that problem and bought a new charger that worked much better, though still not as well as my usb charger.
