Are Let's Golf 2 and NOVA the demo versions?

They were on the DX2, so I figured they were on the D3. I already zapped LG 2, but noticed that NOVA does not mention it is a demo.

I would have kept LG2 if the full version. If it was the full version, probably a good time for a "wuh wuh wuh wuuuuhh".

Did I zap a full game?

I got the impression that it was a demo so I zapped it too. I also zapped Nova but it might have been because I figured I'd never play it anyway.

Let's Golf 2 seems to be a demo.

You can play using the "Instant Play" option, but there is also a "Get the Game" option that allows you to purchase the full game for $4.99 (charged to your Verizon bill apparently).

Okay- Thanks!

I refuse to buy Gameloft games until they put them on the market like they do with Apple games in the iTunes market.

I also refuse to buy any more Tegra 2 only games, even though I have a Tegra tablet.

i did this as soon as i started setting my phone up along with turning the global mode off. i cant believe they put 20mb-40mb games on the phone out of the box.

I totally agree - I mean I am going to fill up my 16 gigs really soon and then what am I going to do?

Due to the OS, stock apps and the usual suspects, there is a total of about 13.2gb available to the user: 1.7gb for app space, so over 10% of app space worth for two demo apps IS too much. Even the 11.5gb of "sdcard" allocation is very easy to fill with media or psx games.

The average decently encoded movie is 700 mb and one psx game can be the same size. So though you were being politely sarcastic, yes, it is easy.

I'll at least play these games until the demo expires and then uninstall them to get the ~280 MB back.

I was busy reinstalling all the apps I ran on my D1 (at least all the ones that don't require root access) and I ran out of app storage space!

I quick check of the biggest apps quickly pinpointed LG2 and Nova as the culprits. Once I deleted them, I was good to go.

Since the D3 doesn't ship standard with a MicroSDHC card, but uses an on board memory for "media area" I thought I could move the largest apps to that, but the option was grayed out. Since other apps can be moved there, It seems poor design on to restrict the two largest std shipping apps (by far) to the fairly limited primary app storage area.

Perhaps when we get root, this can be addressed....

In any case, I can live without those apps, and I am loving the smooth and fast response with the D3.

Can you choose where to store games/apps between the sd card or onboard memory? If so how? On day 2 of my droid3 and love it much better than the droid charge I just got rid of--and I even live in a 4g area

Go to settings/applications/manage applications

If it's allowed, that's where you can move it.

On the D1, the movement was between "phone storage" and "sdcard"

So far on the D3, it's between "phone" and "media area"

With any luck, some smart developer will figure out how to include the SDcard too.

With the D3, it's seems we have 3 possible storage locations
1) phone
2) media area
3) SDcard

The D3 comes with 1 and 2 and you can add 3.

The fun is just starting...

You can't install to SD. The "move" option on our phone moves apps to the Media Area. The SD card is strictly for media on our phones unless an app is specifically designed to utilize the "external" (removable) SD card (camera app, as an example).
