are these problems to be concerned about?

i have had my galaxy s for two weeks now. the ph has frozen a few times and one screen saver would only appear in a small square in the top right hand corner of the sceen. Also the kies says something about google has no agreement with android for downloading samsung apps. is that right? i thought that coz the ph is so like a pc that it may be normal to freeze.
