Are you getting good 3G speeds?

My Incredible has 1/2 bars most of the time. This would be ok if my data speeds weren't so terrible.

Most of the time my DL is at 250kbps.

The only time I had 4 bars was at the Verizon store, where I got 1.7Mbps DL.

Are you guys and gals happy with your data speed?
 
Just ran the FCC Speedtest app with 3 bars

Down: 1.76Mbps
Up: 0.72
Latency: 113 to Chicago IL

seems speedy to me
 
I've been speed testing every where I go.. litterally... I'm the data version of the "can you hear me now" guy lol! Highest speed on 3g to date was 2207 down / 956 up... slowest was 481 down and 234 up. Slightly OT....I am also very impressed with the phone's wifi speeds.. I have 10 mb road runner @ home and was getting on the wifi 9193 down / 1031 up. Testing conducted in Orange / Seminole counties Florida.
 
I live in a suburban town, and I didn't even know I got 3G here... but I do! (AT&T doesn't have 3G here, I like to rub it in all of my iPhone-owner friends)

Just ran speed test:
3G
Down: 853kbps
Up: 827kbps

I was impressed with the Upload speed, but I wish the download was better. Maybe I'll get a better score when I get towards the nearest metropolitan area.

WiFi
Down: 9,897kbps
Up: 1,115kbps
 
Mine sucks.

1 bar = 94dbm

543 download
858 upload

My Droid was much faster on 3g. It's sad to say but I miss my Droid.

I am very happy. Websites seem to load very quickly. Coming from a Blackberry Storm where I thought that the slow load times were due to the network, I have realized that the network is fast enough for mobile devices.

Yes websites pop-in even faster thru wifi, but 3g is quite fast IMO.

The Verizon ads on TV are accurate - ATT does not have much 3g coverage areawise.
 
Here are my results walking around campus:

Not too good. 1 or 2 bars most of the time, all taken outside.

In the car though, I was getting 4 bars most of the time!

I live in a small town few miles out from the capital city in Oregon. I haven't ran any speed tests, but it seems to be blazing fast, for a phone that is. I used to work with a guy who had an Iphone and he would constantly complain about his slow loading times.
 
Okay, I was at a somewhat metropolitan area today, and tried speed test.

Down: 1,095kbps
Up: 741kbps

I had 3-4 bars when I took the speed test. I think that's pretty good, especially for it not being a major city or anything.
