I like to fish during the spring rains. (noodling is reaching into a riverbank hole..putting your hand into a flathead's mouth.. and pulling it out. Illegal in most states)

I keep what I catch but the hubby and kid eat it. I don't like fish, lol.

Catch and release as the fish are not fit to eat around there. high mercury content and no thanks to dupont.

You use live bait or artificial lures?


noodling no wont do it as if you saw the size turtles we have in our rivers. You wouldn't wade in the water. they are the size of VW bugs. I kid you not.

haha... I caught a 45lb flathead off of a limb line.. my buddy almost doubled that on a weekend I didn't go with him.

No as around here the ice dont get thick enough to support a dogs weight.

I LOVE flathead but it has to be cleaned and prepared right. Rainbow trout from a mountian stream is way good but you have to deal with the bones.
