1) 2.2 isn't available to the Ascend yet. It is supposed to be coming out for Metro some times but no announcement has been made for Cricket.

2) There are instructions under All Things Root on how to install Icarus.

We can help you get Icarus on your phone. If you can follow directions, it is normally pretty easy but you may have to download it a couple times to your computer. A few people have gotten slightly corrupted downloads, so don't worry if it doesn't work perfect the first time. Read the thread a couple times before you do it to see what problems you might run into and how to fix them. And if you run into something else there are a lot of people here to help you.

I have posted various posts regatding my troubles with this freakn turd phone im starting to miss my R560 untill i remember i paid nearly as much for that stupid peice of fecal matter (off subject) i have some african negbhors with the worst bastard kids one of which they saw fit to name Feces even if i havent spelled it correctly i think you must understand they named this ungodly little turd for what it really is im wondering what is the number to INS?

well i made it to step 2 on installing icarus now when i do vol up call n power it comes up with a screen that says firmware update 1/2 and the lights near the track ball flash as it says update failes at the bottom what am i doing wrong and how can i fix this?
