Root Assistance needed

So, was anyone smart enough to figure how to gain the gingerbread upgrade after rooting the commando and ridding of some bloatware that prevent the software update going through? Fiance keeps throwen her commando at my face and the bruses keep reminding me to ask lol.
She rooted it and deleted some system apps.
My guess would be to download a dump and push everything back to the systen that was deleted?
Or have someone extract the baseband, make and flashable package for it and use someones 2.3 nandroid backup?

You will have to reload the deleted apps. I froze my bloatware after root and the update would not work until I unfroze them all. I lost root after the update but got root again with no problem.

I've used a nandroid from 2.3.3 and successfully flashed it but I'm still not able to figure out the baseband issue, I'd love to help help if I can

Youd have to have someone extract the radio image (baseband) from their device while running gingerbread and make a flashable image for it. Doing so would result in a successful nandroid upgrade.
I know how to make the flashable package but pulling the radio isnt my game yet.

Thanks a bunch
Im gonna look into this problem and might even get into the development scene if time allows.
