Root Assistance Needed

Hello,

I have the HTC Evo 4G from Sprint and am in a lost state.
My phone details are as below:

*** UNLOCKED ***
SUPERSONIC EVT3 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-2.18.0001
MICROP-041f
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-2.15.00.12.19
Dec 21 2011,12:50:32

Here is the issue. The phone has no operating system, and I am very eager to simply return it to stock usage... but there is a catch, any computer, no matter what operating system (Linux, Windows, Mac OS X), doesn't detect the phone being plugged in, and the phone only acknowledges being plugged in while completely powered down.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the drivers are messing around . do u have or had drivers installed .

On this computer, no I do not. I performed a fresh installation of Windows. Should I install just the basic HTC drivers for this device?

This is for windows PC/laptops .AFTER YOU FINISHED INSTALLING . REBOOT PC TO FULLY INSTALL . ALSO a reboot will kill all background activities.

Look like you may need the stock ruu for your device

Have you tried a different usb cord, or a different usb port?
