Astro File Manager

Hi i have a question. Can i use this app Astro to extract files that i download to my phone? For example if i downloaded album to my phone can i use it to extract the file so that i am able to listen to the music? If so can someone please give a little example step by step in doing so.

find the file in Astro, long press the file, click Extract, select the directory and your done.
