asurion how does it work

I have never used the insurance before and have a few questions about how it works. Do they send me a replacement phone and then bill me or do I have to pay it up front? Can I request a different phone from the one I have or is it the same phone always? Any help will be great.
Wifes phone broke so I wanna get her a replacement thru insurance but I want her to have a better phone. Thanx people.

From what I remember (I haven't used it in a LONG time), you pay them the deductible ($50?) over the phone, then they mail you a new one.

As far as your phone choice goes, it's usually pretty limited.

Quite a few including companies that offer homeowner's insurance. Better is always subjective. Define exactly what you mean by "better". What are you specifically looking for?
