At&t "4g" speeds? Yeah, keep trying

I went over my data allowance, i wonder if they slow down internet for people that go over like some companies do. I just ran my test again and it was worse than normal, .03 down and .08 up. I don't know whats going on.

If that holds true for everyone, that would mean you get charged for the overage, at reduced speeds. That would make the T-Mo acquisition even more awsome.

Wow, a lot of people seem jealous of our bond. Sad, really. Get your own bestie, envy is a sickness.

Jealous is ugly :)

First off 4g is not available in all but 10 cities right now. 2nd we were not" punished" because of a BBB complaint, the function was not active from the start. They have stated that the update is planed for sometime in april and the inspire will come with it already active. Not saying it is right but that is just how it is. Just like how android 2.2 is not designed to work dual core systems, so we Atrix users don't have full access to the phones power anyway.

HSUPA is different from HSPA.

Your initial post was claiming that they throttled HSPA.

HSUPA is nothing that a simple root & rom can't fix.

I get around 5.8 Mbps down and 1.3 Mbps up.

Proof

Wow I was waiting for LTE but seeing those speeds in Houston makes me want to just get the Thrill when it comes out.
