Agreed. I to, prefer the "true" Galaxy S, but I have come to terms with Captivate and will be getting one and will be enjoying it!

Could you elaborate more on how different they are?

Well the first glarigly different thing are Buttons. Captivate has different buttons.

We are unsure of whether there is a front-facing camera so we'll leave that one out for now.

Custom ROM for AT&T this is what really should push for a different forum. We KNOW that the ROM is being built for AT&T's specs meaning if there is an issue with say X app not working or my Contacts not working or just about ANYTHING you could ask for help with, tricks that work on the Galaxy S may not really work at all for the Captivate since you are looking at different hardware AND different software.

I thought this stuff was rather obvious.
