Help AT&T apps to Folder?

dlw444

Newbie
Sorry if this has been posted. I did search and Google. Can someone tell me how to create a folder so I can move all the AT&T apps I don't use in there. This would be in the Application area. I know you can create folders in the Home area. Thx much.

You're talking about the Application Dock right? You can't with the default TouchWiz UI, but the latest version of LauncherPro lets you hide icons in the App Dock.

If you want to use the built in folder system, go to a home screen a do a long press and hold.

1. Select 'Folders'
2. New Folder (The new folder will now appear on your screen.)
3. Click on Folder
4. Click and hold where it says Folder and rename it if you wish.

******

To Add apps to the folder:

1. Open folder.
2. Click on App Tray in the dock.
3. Long press and hold the program(s) you want to move and they will go into the folder.

IF YOU WANT A MORE POWERFUL/EASY WAY TO DO IT? (Download FolderOrganizer from the App Store.)

Yes Argastes, I am talking about the App Dock. Meaning if you click on Appliations and you see all the ATT stuff in there. I was thinking there might be a way to throw all those in a folder.

Baldilocks....that is good info...thanks for the help with that.

get launcher pro. Way better than touch wiz. Lets you hide anything you want. Way easy.

Thanks Thindery....I know I can search this, but, read where Laucher Pro eats a bit at the battery vs ADW ( I think that is the other launcher)..Have you experienced this. After a couple of charges by battery is doing very well now.

Thx.

Wow, being able to hide apps in the app drawer changes everything! Up to now, I had thought that there was no way to do this, so I basically had everything I would normally use stuffed into folders on my home screens, to make it faster than having to scan through all the apps. Great, now I get to once again spend a ton of time thinking about how I am to rearrange everything on my phone!

Indeed, it put ATT Family into the folder I created--AND left it in Apps! Now I have two of them instead of hiding it away in a storage folder.

Then, somehow I dragged it and it moved from inside the open folder onto the main screen desktop. I want it inside the created folder ("Unused"), not on the desktop and not in Apps! Please tel me how to accomplish.
First day with the phone by the way.

I am technically adept, but I know nothing about this phone--yet.
