Ok i like motorola phones especially this one since it is 4" not 4.3 that is to big. Im wondering if at&t will buy my contract out over at verizon so i can get two of these when they come out because my dad has a droid2 which is to small for his eyes and my fascinate is still stuck on 2.1 and is the most buggy phone in the us. So can i get a good opinion thanks in advance

Personally I've never heard of AT&T buying out contracts, I think that on rare occasion a carrier will run a special where they give you x amount of money to switch but I've only heard of it maybe once or twice ever and usually it's with a regional carrier not one of the nationals. Maybe someone else has heard of this?

A few years ago before the iphone came out I was on Verizon and wanted to switch to ATT. I called them up and told them that I was unhappy with verizon and would be willing to switch, but I didn't want to pay my etf with them (granted the etf was only 150 and not the 300 or so it is now). ATT told me that if I switch, they would pay the ETF on all 3 phones on my current plan (through a credit on my new ATT plan), as well as give us our first month free.

I haven't left att since. Now I'm not saying that they will do this now, but the worst that can happen is that they say no, and you are no worse off than you are now.

That's wild, I've never heard of anything like that, I agree though, couldn't hurt to ask!
