Root [AT&T] Bye BBM hello ANDROID

Hi Id like to start off by saying great site, and hello to all....Im new to the android way of life and would appreciate a hand and some advise on what i should do. Ive had the Samsung S3 a week now and ive been hearing about "rooting, and jelly bean". Im very interested in it but dont wanna mess my phone up how does this work and what are my steps ? the main reason this attracts me is the data and tethering. My carrier is bell

Glad to see you have got a fantastic device there!
If you wish to root it, just be sure to read and understand the process and ask if you are not clear on something about rooting.
I have looked here:

for specific rooting instructions for your carrier, but do not see it. However, someone else may see your thread here and offer better info than I have

Hey Josh, welcome to the forums

Pretty sure Bell is a Canadian Provider, meaning you have the at&t version of the S3 so i moved this thread into the All Things root for your device, which also has many guides on how to root/ROM your device.

I believe the Bell S3 is the same as the AT&T one, making it the SGH-I747 (LTE and Dual Core), so I'll move this into the AT&T root section
