Hey Apoplectic, I can't get safestrap to install correctly. .. It always says state: not installed. I'm rooted running 4.4.2 on BN1 sgh-I337. Over at xda it says I need 3.72 which from what I read sounds like is still not fully up and running yet. Any suggestions?
I think I found the answers we've all been looking for over at XDA.
For the time being, our bootloader is locked (that means no custom recovery). Our only option right now is Safestrap. If you're on NC1, you'll need version 3.72. Before you install it, you need to be rooted and change SELinux to permissive. Once that is done, you can successfully install Safestrap.
To flash a ROM (several are available at XDA), you need to make sure you have all necessary files on your SD card (necessary files vary, depending on the ROM, but usually include the ROM itself, the proper modules, and SuperSU, all of which are zip files). Once you have all the files on your SD card, install Safestrap, then open it and "install recovery". Reboot into Safestrap, wipe, advanced wipe, check everything except SD card, slide to confirm. Install the zips in the proper order, then reboot.
That's all folks!
Edit: I can't provide links right now because I'm on my phone... Just find the proper threads over at XDA, or I'll add the links later.
