Root [AT&T] Data usage rooted galaxy s3

Ok so I rooted my galaxy s3 (at&t) yesterday and used the wifi tether TrevE mod to use for my xbox. Now today I looked at my data usage and now its a 2.0 GB which is my limit. I added up all my apps that were apparently using the data and it only added up to 430MB. Thats not even half of a GB. So what's going on? The wifi tether isnt showing up on the list so might that be it?

It's probably the tethering, which doesn't come up on the device data usage.

Tethering shows up in my data use but i dont use an app for it, just the native tethering

The last time I tethered (months ago) it did not appear at all. Was it always shown like that?

on ICS i think so mate. Not completely sure though as its only been a few months where ive tethered so much

Tethering does come off your data usage. The rooting and using tethering is to bypass the provider blocking you not being able to tether and having to pay extra for it.
