Root [AT&T] Eating Through Battery Quickly

Over the last few days I have noticed that my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been eating through the battery pretty quickly. I took it off the charger five hours ago, and am already down to 65%. I have done nothing on the phone, other than unplug it and put it in my pocket. The Android OS is taking up 30%, which is extremely unusual. Typically I get over twelve hours of medium use through out the day, and have plenty of battery life left during the evening. Also, is there a way to see why my phone is awake when the screen is off? Could this be app related?

Not too off topic, but does anyone know of a good quality extended battery that doesn't require a separate back plate?

It is most likely an app. Try disabling your data while your not using the phone. Isolate the variables.

I will give that a try, thank you! As for apps, would GroupMe cause a drain?

Also, is anyone having Bluetooth issues with this phone? My phone keeps fading in and out, and at first I thought that it was my car at first, but after trying it in my second car I had the same issue.

I had to take my first Note 2 back as after charging it overnight, the battery completely drained overnight without being used once.
The replacement last about 3 days, even with extensive texting.

Three days is awesome! Could the issue be tower related? I am only asking because my sister has the S3, and has complained about the same thing. I know that AT&T has, within the last six weeks, added HSPA+ to where I live. Also, when the towers were upgraded from 2G to 3G, there were issues as well.
