Help AT&T Lock screen

Hello forum,

My AT&T GN3 seems to have lost the ability to have lockscreen app shortcuts, as well as any other widget capability, apart from having the time shown. Even the ability to poke the screen and twist to start the camera is gone (GN2 thing). And, the Wid********* app isn't compatible with this version of Android, according to Google Play.

Has anyone found a good way to have access to the camera from the lock screen?

thanks!

You have the swipe lockscreen set but you do not have any shortcuts across the bottom? Settings > Device > Lock Screen > Shortcuts. At leasts that is how mine shows. Same menu for the Multiple Widgets.

That's the issue: I don't have the "Shortcuts" or "Multiple Widgets" Options. :(

I had the Sprint version for a few days, and now I have the T-Mobile version, both are the same. I have those options.

I did not realize AT&T would do that to their customers. I wonder if Verizon's is like Sprint's and T-Mobile or it's like AT&T.

I'm on AT&T and I've got those options. Make sure you have the "swipe" option selected. Even if you change the method of unlock later the widgets should stay. May just be a bug....

I can't use swipe: my company pushes a security policy in order to connect to Exchange email. Password and PIN are my only available options as a result of this. It's becoming clear to me that when either of these options are selected, then the multiple widgets and shortcuts options go away. It wasn't like this on the GN2. Oh well.

from what i've read in previous threads, you cannot have widgets on the lockscreen when a PIN is set as the lockscreen security. If you turn it to swipe, "multiple widgets" will appear.

Mine's AT&T it will do widgets also.

But I have a much more serious issue, it refuses to make my dinner...Sheesh :D
