AT&T LTE service

Just found out my city (Austin, TX) is getting LTE from AT&T in November.
Will I be able to use the Samsung Galaxy SII with the LTE service?

I'm hoping it'll just be as simple as a firmware upgrade?

nop...unless you purchase gs2 lte from rogers in canada when it comes out

You won't be able to use the currently available international version (i.e. the gray market ones you can buy today); they're HSPA+ only. Samsung did announce a LTE version a couple weeks back, so there is hope.

I'm not sure if the AT&T version of the SGS2, to be launched in the next month or two, will be LTE-compatible.
