Does anyone have word on when At&t preorders begin? I think I've heard the 25th but is that midnight or does anyone have any experience with At&t preorders online?
 
Hey guys, looking to order this asap as well, but I'm not actually a US citizen, only here for college. Do you know if there is a way around the credit check because I dont really have a social security number, and my credit card also has an international billing address which isn't featured on the options. Anyone in a similar situation? Do you know what other international students are doing when they want smartphones on a plan? Or should I just get the international version from Amazon?

Not really sure, probably have to call in. I tried to adjust some of my account information, but it didn't let me. AT&T quite restricting on their site...
 
Anyone who pre-ordered through AT&T site get a confirmation email already?? I didn't get one and I thought they would have an automated email response for just order confirmation?

Yeah im probably getting the international version then. The deposit was about $500 for most other international students with other plans and thats a bit much for me.

Do you know what the main differences are between the international and usa versions, except 4G LTE? Thanks
 
I called one of my local Best Buy's (LA, CA) and they mentioned having the AT&T version. Since I was calling to check on the Sprint version, I didn't ask any further details on inventory, but thought I'd share, in case some of you wanted to try your local Best Buy locations.
 
I just ordered mine from the ATT Wireless site

I have been with AT&T since 2008 and my first Iphone 3G, which I upgraded to an iPhone 4 in 2010 - so I wanted to stay with AT&T to maintain my grandfathered Unlimited data plan. I had read that its tough and confusing to pre-order online, and still keep an old unlimited data plan - but after logging in to my account and navigating around the AT&T Wireless site and (google searching terms I was not sure of) - I was able to Pre-Order the Galaxy Note2 and maintain my Unlimited Dataplan (got a message at top of my order page saying my Note 2 will ship November 6.

After selecting the Note 2, next the shopping cart states you must order "Service" - Because I will keep my old voice plan : "AT&T Unity 900 w Rollover Minutes" , among the many data plan options - I saw the Data Service options for:
"Data Unlimited for LTE Personal" -$30 /mo
or
"Data Unlimited for LTE Personal w/200 MSG" -$35 /mo (which includes 200 messages per month)

I choose the latter as that is the best match to replace my old iphone Unlimted Data ($30) and 200 Iphone message plan ($5) monthly fees.

When pre-ordering the phone from AT&T, these "Data Unlimited for LTE Personal " plans are only revealed as options for those who are already on AT&T with a pre-exisiting Unlimited data plan,

Also I had to agree to pay a $36 one time Phone Upgrade Fee (which gets tacked onto my next months AT&T Wireless Bill)

I had thought about buying elsewhere, but I could never get a straight answer from Best Buy if I could keep my existing AT&T unlimited data plan if i purchased a Note 2 from them.


BTW - I got an AT&T email confirmation 10 minutes after I placed my Order @ 11:54 PM CDT, October 25, 2012 - saying my Note 2 will ship November 6, 2012.



Ironically I have been on the fence on which device to choose to upgrade my old iPhone 4 - but the 50% off Samsung Accessories Discount code mentioned today at XDA Developers pushed me over and helped me decide to just order the Galaxy Note 2 - as I have been growing weary of the locked down restrictive Apple IOS culture, and a rabid disdain for iTunes - which tends to be more of a File gatekeeper, than a useful tool. Content, Notes, Audio recordings I create on my mobile device swiftly becomes essentially non accessible - or buried and lost somewhere inside the hidden file structure of IOS - its time for a change just so I can become productive again.

So I actually ordered a few Note 2 accessories late this afternoon at the Samsung USA Site - before I actually ordered the Phone ( USB Host adapter, HDMI Out Adapter and a Shock proof case, and i ordered a "Smart Dock with TA" which is a neat Dock made just for the Note 2 which provides simultaneous USB Host ports and HDMI Output - so you can connect typical External Monitor and Keyboard / Hard drive and use the Note 2 like a mini computer.

I'm more pleased that my decision has been made - and at age 57 I feel the Note 2 will be perfect for my needs.

Another odd bit i should mention - last week I contacted Otterbox about the status of an Otterbox Defender Case for the Galaxy Note 2 phone - and they told me this was not going happen.

Yet tonight when I was Pre-ordering my Note 2 from AT&T, as an accessory they offered the Otterbox Defender Case for the Galaxy Note 2 as a $60 add on.

Can you guys give updates on your orders mine still says processing but someone on here said there's are ready to ship just wanna know if I should be worried :/

This is what part of my confirmation email says.

"We have processed your order and it has been sent to our warehouse for shipment.

Your order cannot be changed or canceled at this time.

We’ll send you a confirmation email as soon as your order ships. "

When I go to the att site to check my order status it says:

"Shipping Status Processing"
 
Hello all,

I wanted to know if anyone could help me regards to the international version of samsung galaxy note 2. I just brought mine from HK and I currently have ATT carrier. I wanted to know how to get 4G on my new device? does anyone know how to set up FASTER internet on international version? because right now my internet is sooooooo slow!!!
