Root [AT&T] [Q] LG G2 D802 Flash Boot started issue!!

hi im in trouble,i bricked my device n then flashed tot. file with flash tool using a guide from other forum...my device cant go into download mode not in recovery(i never had custom recovery) it just stuck on lg logo with led on..
i also now have display issue it shows white n some other color lines..
my device can be detected by laptop by the way...but it does not show any folder or partitions.. what can i do now?
i have d802(written on back) but now im curious that it might be just wriiten on back may be it is another model from inside..thats why it got bricked because i flashed it with d802 tot files im completely lost please help

Are you saying you DO still have access to download mode or no? You will definitely want to remove your back cover and check the motherboard for model stamp. 95% of the time, you can also tell by the stamp in the bottom center along with how the ribbon cables are marked.

To be very sure about Device model please open back cover of the device or Check IMEI number.

Also, you please try pressing three buttons at once for a while.
@iowabowtech Saved my phone earlier on. We have found that my device was not D802 but it was D800 so that might be your case as well.
I have checked the model by removing my phone back cover.

I wonder now its very common with G2 that people are selling their non-D802 devices as D802. What precautions you suggest for it?

Unfortunately, there is little precaution one can take besides buying from a reputable seller or holding the device in hand with cover removed and verify the board's model stamp. IMEI software check will give false information based on current applied software so with a d802 rom applied, it will report itself as a legit d802 even though it is not.

How they exactly make it possible? I mean how they are generating those D802 IMEI and use those for non-D802 devices :O.

ok i removed back cover...there was a sticker on the bottom i removed it,under it i found the model number it is D800 not d802,what a shame, all the time i was flashing d802 kdz's and following all methods to unbrick d802 but in real i have d800.i also flashed tot. file of d802 after which my screen messed up,it has now white lines but i can guess what is happening in background..my current situation is No download mode,no recovery, stucking at lg logo with led on,at lg logo my computer do recongnize my device as Lg androidnet phone

Shame..!! :/
Same as mine. I thought my device is D802 but it was D800 on removing that sticker..
You should wait for @iowabowtech Reply. As he really knows this stuff and did help me and gave me tot file and all the instructions.

Just popping in here folks to ask of @ABDUL BASIT KING, @Ahmad Ahsan and @iowabowtech ....
I'm wanting to move this into the correct root forum and seeing as though ABDUL and Ahmad have found that their devices are the D800 variant instead of the D802, it would appear they have the AT&T variant?
LG G2 D800 for AT&T
LG G2 D802 for Europe

If so, I think to avoid confusion, a thread move, thread title change and and OP edit to reflect the correct device model is in order.

Let me know if I'm on the same track as you guys;)
Cheers!

You are absolutely right.
Well, I was about to ask so, but the thing is we got the real model after inspection that is removing the back cover so initially the incoming search would be about D802 like @Ahmad Ahsan did. So I think we should remain with the same title. A brief thread containing its full solution or key steps should be posted btw. Wonder how many peoples are going to sell their devices after this shameful act by the 2nd hand sellers :(

Hmm, so what do we have here now? You and Ahmad (and perhaps others) buy these 2nd hand devices that are sold as "re-stickered" D802's when in fact they are D800's? Then folks like you run into issues flashing things for D802's when in fact, they should be using D800 files?

@ABDUL BASIT KING, feel free to edit in some clarification to your original post so folks can know right away what is up.
Perhaps even post in some links to relevant posts in this thread?
As far as a brief thread containing the solution or key steps--I'll have to leave that up to you guys as I am not familiar with the device.

I'll do my best to help organize, just let me know how I can help;)

Edit: I moved this thread to the AT&T root subforum and made a mod edit in the OP.
@ABDUL BASIT KING , edit as you see fit to let folks know
;)

Exactly right Mike. If the OP can check for an adb root shell, we can likely dd write partitions to restore download mode.

adb shell
su
cd /system
ls-l

If you can list system files as # adb shell we should be good to try.

Ok so my last post assumed you had recovery still, I must have been confusing your issue with another member. So for your situation, with phone connected, open windows device manager and look to see if/how device is identified. What we hope for is "Qualcomm qhsusb_bulk". In this mode, we can restore by flashing enough partitions to fix download mode, then do a full restore using that.

If your device is not recognized as mentioned above, I'm afraid you will have to refer to this thread:
