AT&T to allow sideloading?

in this MASSIVE rant about the phone, this guy mentions at&t allowing sideloading soon (which i honestly dont care much about, but its cool!) can anyone find an official source of this?

Unless that poster is privy to some special information, I think he is saying that at some point they will have to abandon that ridiculous policy. Even more ridiculous (as the poster points out) is the fact that it is brought up at all. Appbrain's Fast Web Installer and the android central Side Load Wonder Machine (not to mention "adb push") all take literally like 30 seconds, it is a moot issue as anyone who has ever even tried it has realized.

I like side-loading prevention. Stops all the idiots putting stuff on their phone they don't understanding and whining for help. If you can't figure out how to get around it then you probably shouldn't be using it.....
