AT&T to buy T-mobile for 39 billion!!!!

I was thinking of switching to T-Mobile for the Pyramid. Unlimited data with free tethering, lower prices, best Android selection. Looks like that would be a dumb move lol. Guess the wait for LTE (which will now take even longer) continues? Or I can just get the Inspire.

has anyone else thought about possible cons?

Tmobile has been a pretty avid supporter of android..

At&t has been more unfriendly and although they have recently opened their arms..

Nexus one was for tmo.
Nexus S was for tmo.
Before that they sported G1.

There is a reason google went with tmo over at&t even if they did feature a nexus one with at&t 3g bands briefly..

I try "not" to think about losing my $59/mo. unlimited voice/data under AT&T mgmt...but supposedly they will grandfather contracts prior to changeover.

Another issue will be AT&T's desire to rollout LTE on T-Mo's 1700 band...full bars 3G/4G in the parking lot, 0-bar or 1-bar Edge "inside". :(

Confirmed: AT&T wants to use T-Mobile's AWS spectrum for LTE buildout -- Engadget

"Flipping through the slide deck accompanying a hastily-arranged press conference this morning to talk up AT&T's planned acquisition of T-Mobile USA, it's now clear that the company is interested in augmenting its 700MHz LTE spectrum with T-Mobile's 1700MHz AWS airwaves -- a move that it says would help it deploy LTE to 95 percent of the American population. AWS is currently used by T-Mobile for its 3G services, but running LTE there isn't without precedent -- that's where MetroPCS is already set up, so there's some potential for consumer hardware and infrastructure synergy there."
