Root [AT&T] TWRP won't open zip file

I've been attempting to flash Liquid Smooth but keep but TWRP won't open the zip file. Tried other downloads of LS with the same results. I've tried moving the file from the external to internal sd card but TWRP doesn't see it no matter where I put it.

Please help...and thanks.

Well you're talking over my head. I googled rom slot and have a better idea on what you're referring to but don't know how to navigate through TWRP to find it and don't have Safestrap installed.

Foe troubleshooting you can try downgrading twrp maybe its a bug in the version you have.. Did you have a different recovery on there before? Fyi backups made by other recovers arent interchangeable

I was able to flash Carbon without issue from the external card along with restoring the stock rom but TWRP won't open LS zip file.
Why won't TWRP see the zip file on the internal sd card?

If you go into Advance Wipe the options are
Dalvik Cache
System
Data
Internal Storage
Cache
Micro SDcard
USB-OTG

I want to try a dirty wipe as referenced in the above like to see if the LS rom will flash, in which case I need to only wipe Cache and DalvikCache and perform a factory reset which isn't listed as an option from this screen.

I understand that but if I use that option it also wipes the data. Using advanced wipe I can bypass wiping the data.

Besides, I wasn't successful installing the zip after just wiping the cache and dalvik cache.

From the lack of responses, I assume no one has a clue.

I posted at Team Win, hopefully I'll get a reply.

I am confused you Dont want to wipe data but you want to install a ROM . in order to install a ROM you will need to wipe data cache etc . no data is good to a new ROM you flash old and new data Dont mix

I was just going by El Presidente's steps he used for a dirty wipe. He was having trouble with TWRP as referenced in the above link and used the dirty wipe to effectively install the rom. I figured it was worth a try since I haven't got any other suggestions but it didn't work.
