Root [AT&T] Unlocking a phone the same as unlocking bootloader?

By_design

Newbie
After finishing a 2year contract with AT&T, they unlock the phone to allow the use of other carriers. Once my is unlocked by at&t, will my bootloader also be unlocked to use CWM or TWRP?

No you will have to root it and then unlock the bootloader
:)
I'm on tapatalk right now other wise I'd post a link
At the bottom of this forum there are Rooting guides for your specific carrier to root ;)

I wanted to know if i can unlock the s4 to metro pcs and how the service is will it be the same as the metro phones or it better just buy a s4 from metro ?

Once you unlock it and set the APN for metroPCS, your i337 should be functionally the same as an S4 from metro. However, it will still have the AT&T bloatware (unless you also root the phone).
