AT&T version now available online

It seems that every local AT&T Direct store I call either says they're not getting it anytime soon and can only be sold online or there's now no longer any ETA. I wonder if this issue with boygeniusreport.com reporting the lock screen issue has anything to do with it.

Anyone got a firm yes or no on picking one up tomorrow?

I went to my local ATT store and they said they don't have one. I told the guy "you mean a new phone as popular worldwide as the SG2 and you don't even have one for training, etc."?
"No, it's just another android phone" he says. We trained online for that one.
Oh really? I thanked him and we talked a minute about what current phone has the same size screen etc. He didn't offer a date and so I assumed he didn't know.
I may check back later this week or follow it on line.
I guarantee you he knows to the second when the new "Angels sing" ~iPhone 5~ is gonna arrive though. :)
 
ATT is not going to be stocking any new phones that are not LTE. They will be happy to order the current SGS2 for you as a direct fulfillment. Why not just wait for the LTE gS2? Should be announced on the 5th.
 
I know for a fact they are in corporate stores, at least down here in Miami, and will be on sale tomorrow.
 
Happens every big launch.. They are there but employees wont say jack. They can get terminated immediately and so dont know what is off limits to say so they dont say anything..

thats not true as soon as a release date is made public like the galaxy s2 employees can talk about it. only thing we can't say is how many we have in stock( i am a sales rep a corporate store) but we can say we have it. i think sometimes people go to authorized dealers and don't recognize the difference. people at authorized dealers are often under trained or just don't care. but corporate stores (at least here in vegas) will have the galaxy s2 tomorrow.
 
It seems that it's going to be mid-week before I can pick up my Galaxy S II. All of the stores in reasonable driving distance of where I live either didn't receive their shipment, or only got a couple of phones and are now sold out. Even if I order from Amazon (which, BTW, is selling them for $149.00), which I'm thinking of doing, it'll still be mid-week until it arrives. ::sigh::
