At&t will work

I went to AT&T yesterday and they said the Nexus S will fully work ok there network as long as its unlocked. I printed out the specs and showed them it. It will work fully, 3G included.

The AT&T rep was misinformed.

Maybe maybe not. Remember despite the specs the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile does also support 3G on ATT

Maybe just maybe the Nexus S has those frequencies too.

Based on the specs page, it definitely will not work on AT&T 3G, but that's not to say that perhaps the specs page is incomplete.

Comparing the Vibrant to the NS, you see that the Vibrant has 1700/1900/2100 bands, while the NS has 900/1700/2100. AT&T 3G needs that 1900MHz band.

Just wait a few days. it is possible that they did not list it on the spec sheet, but we will have to wait and see if someone will test it.
