Help Atrix 2 drooping form 4G to E

I just installed the APN settings from my carrier on an unlocked Atrix 2.. however for some reason when I restart the phone it goes all the way up to 4G but then out of the sudden it goes down to E (edge I assume) and eventually back to 4G for a short time... It stays in that loop 4ever and wont EVER go to 3G or H.!

I wonder if this phone even has those 3G or H icons.. A friend owns an Atrix and says hes never seen 3G at all.. Only H and 4G...

Please help me find out if this is a configuration problem or if its a normal behavior

I believe that the 3g 4g h badging is dependent on how the carrier has it programmed. This may be different for your phone since it is an unlocked phone but this is the hierarchy of signal badges on my AT&T Moto Atrix 2 (listed from highest to lowest) 4G and signal bars in blue is the AT&T 4g service (no LTE in my area), 4g and bars in white=3g, E=crap(GPRS if i remember correctly).
