Atrix 2 storage issues

Let me start by saying that i have not found anything about this to answer my question yet.

This is my problem... got this phone second hand but barely used condition. It works perfectly except for one thing... i cannot take ANY pics, download ANY music or do ANY thing that requires storage use. It tells me that i have to jave an SD card for that. I have never had this problem before.

My question is, was the ATRIX 2 made this way, or is it a glitch in my phone??

Never heard of the phone but SDCARDS are not that expensive.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

The Atrix 2 according to the specs has 8 GB of internal memory, so it is likely supposed to be partitioned with 6 GB of internal storage.

Since you say you got the phone second hand, it is my guess that the previous owner customized it (or attempted to) to use an external SD card to mount at /sdcard rather than let the phone's internal memory handle that.

You're best bet is to flash this back to it's stock configuration which should clear up the problem.

I am not sure what you meant by 'flash back to stock configuratipn'.. i did find something in the settings that is supposed to wipe the phone clean. I dod that but then had to re do all of my google accout stuff, ect. And it did not fix the problem.

Im sure you know more about this than i do, is there anything else you can have me do but in step by step detail? I know... annoying, but anything helps.
