Atrix 4G GPS?

I am thinking about getting the motorola atrix. i currently have the galaxy s and besides the gps, it works great. i know the atrix blows my phone away, but how does the Motorola Atrix 4Gs gps work? is it accurate or problematic like the galaxy s?

I had a Galaxy S (Captivate) before the Atrix. The GPS was useless. The Atrix is just the opposite. It's been rock solid and tracks awesome.

I don't want to be the stick in the mud, but my Atrix actually kept losing the signal in downtown Dallas when I went last weekend. I need to further test it to see if it is a one time thing or not.

Well, depending on where you are, ANY GPS could lose signal in a downtown are due to the tall buildings blocking signal. I know there are streets in Downtown Atlanta that even the heavy duty GPS units in commercial trucks (you know, the white "Dome" shaped units you see up on top of the cabs) lose tracking.

As for the Atrix, it's out performed any phone based GPS I've owned, and also tracks more accurately, and faster, than our 2 year old Garmin dash mount, or my Magellean Explorist Handheld GPSr.

My wife had the 3GS and when it died, she got the Samsung Captivate. Unfortunately that POS has driven her back to the iPhone 4... :(

Well I just got back from LA - wifey and I had our honeymoon there and we used the Atrix as our GPS turn-by-turn, nic named her Lola. Had ZERO problems, worked great and held us locked in at 9 feet or less. Awesome phone, just love it, hope they get the "little" things fixed so it can be perfect.
