Help Atrix suddenly locked

Hi I have Motorola ATRIX factory unlocked, suddenly it's unable to see any SIM cards, I've tried 3 SIMs for different operators but it still gives Emergency calls only, and it rejects to go through anything except emergency calls!!!
please note that this behavoiur happened suddnly while I was driving without any changes from my side before that.
Have anyone faced such a problem?
1 more thing after having this problem some part of my brain told me to format the memory of the internal phone (I dont know why) after format nothing has changed, my 2nd question is did i deleted important files?? or the important files are not shown if you conect it to the PC.

Had this happen on my BB 9000, and it was not "Unlocked." The problem was the SIM card reader (Hardware) in the phone went bad. Mine went out laying on the desk at a hotel in Florida.

Took it into an AT&T store, they tried replacing the SIM, swapping the SIM with the card of one of the employee's phones... nothing.

I can tell you that those are really fragile. They aren't designed to have SIM cards changed out often. The design is to pop one SIM card in and leave it for the life of the phone. So, if you've been swapping SIMs, it could be that you've damaged the slot, not that the phone has "Locked" itself back to carrier.
