Atrix + Webtop Mod + Emulators\Streaming Video = Awesome!

I read some of the info about the webtop over HDMI.

I was confused for a bit, do we NEED to do anything other than run that file when plugged into USB. It says "You no longer need to be rooted OR deodexed!!!!" but i see people still complaining.
 
I'm rooted but not deoxed and using the script it worked just fine for me.

Relevant comment: Thanks for the vids, and its pretty easy to set up the webtop without dock, i have no experience with programming and i was able do it easily.
 
I would really like to enable this, but I am afraid that if I root then I won't be able to get ota updates when 2.3 is released. Will I still be able to get updates?

can anyone shed some light on this?

Not sure, but supposedly you don't need to root for the webtop hack now.
 
Yea you don't need to root, but it is very confusing on what to do.

I was just going to root to make it easier, but if anyone could explain to me how to do it without root it would be appreciated.

actually the only thing I don't understand is the step where it says to have ADB enabled.
