My wife and I both have N7s and use K9 Mail to access our pop3 email. I tried to send an image from my laptop to my N7, but when I tried to open the image I got an error message. My wife received an email with an Excel spreadsheet attached, but when she tried to open it she got an error message.
I looked at the settings in K9 Mail and found that the Account settings has an entry for Fetching Mail. In there I found an entry for Fetch messages up to and the default size was 32kb. So K9 Mail would fetch the message but the attachments would be cut off. I changed it to 5mb and did a refresh and now the whole attachment comes in and opens fine.
