I have root and cwm recovery the you have any stock .img backup I forget to made one

i have one i got from someone else. when i rooted and tried to install the recovery the first time it didnt go well and soft bricked my phone. Do you need it

i have been trying to make a deodex rom but i cant get it to work. i am using dsixdas kitchen in ubuntu. it will go through all the steps and make a rom just fine but when i try to flash the rom in recovery it wont do anthything. it just says error in rom.

Try to fix the scrip look for the line of error

The only rom I test was the cm10-2 from team exhibit you can look the scrip from that rom it may help you

I didnt build nothing yet I just try to setup my pc to a build to see if I can fix the bug in cm10-2

Oh ok but here I find this they are preroot rom the one the say t599n is yours you can flash with odin see if you can use that for the deodexed

I finally got the deodexed rom flashed to my phone. i am learning this stuff as i go. i am trying to make it flashable now so i can post it.

where is that file at in the phone?

That is the files inside the rom of cm10-2 is the folder of meta-inf

Thanks. i think i figured out what i was doing wrong. i have to completely start over. doing it now.

take the stock Odin file and deodex with dxidsa kitchen. .. easy as that No problems for me. .. it is going to be 500^mb btw unless you debloat it and replace updated apps in place and stuff. ..

I have tried doing that numerous times. I also tried pulling the system files from the phone and using that and nothing works. kitchen will do everything it is supposed to do including building a new rom but when I try to flash it it just says error status 0 and aborts the installation

status 0 means i have the wrong update binary. i tried to replace the Kitchen binary with the one that comes with the rom and the one from the cm10 rom and those didnt work either. im stuck

post the updater script you are using

here is the script in the deodexed rom. i replaced the kitchen generated script with the one from the odin prerooted rom.

okay, delete the boot.img .. it's not needed just take the /system/app and framework folders out of your rom zip ... I will post a link to an update script
