Help Attention, network error occurred

I love my HTC Thunderbolt but Verizon service is terrible. My phone keeps going in and out of service and I keep receiving this pop up screen:

"Attention

A network error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to previous screen"

Is anyone getting this? Do I need to change a setting or is it a SIM/Phone issue?

I had this happen one time yesterday. I'm not sure what the issue was. I'm thinking it has something to do with all of the sim activations at once, but I could be way off.

Where in Long Island are you? Long Island is fully covered in 3g and 4g...so you *shouldn't* have a service issue. However, there have been reports of "issues" with the Thunderbolt if the activation wasn't done properly. Might want to pull the battery; hold down the power button to drain the thing fully; then reboot. If that doesn't work, call VZW and let them know. They have fixed some peoples issues with service problems in 4g.

In Lake Success, NY and it shows 4G coverage. Thanks, I'll give it a try...
