Help audible selection wont turn off!

I put my phone in my pocket, and forgot to lock it. Something setting wise got changed and now it clicks/beeps every time i type. I went to settings>sound and display>audible selection. its unchecked. ive toggled it, powercycled the phone and even yelled at it.
Any ideas on what im doing wrong?

never mind, i jumped the gun. it was a setting for the android keyboard. all fixed now.

Check the box right above that one. Audible touch tones.
