One of the problems of the SGS2 (and I think all Android phones) is that you can't get Digital Audio Output, which I specifically want in my car.
Currently I'm connecting the analogue signal via the Official Car dock - but this gets interference. My stereo also has an Apple 30-Pin Male connector. So...
If I connected the car stereo male Apple 30-pin connector to this:
Apple Digital AV Adapter for Apple iPad 2: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
...and then used an HDMI-HDMI lead to connect to the MHL adapter connected to the SGS2...
Would that take the Digital Audio signal to the car stereo? If the audio stream is output to the MHL adapter...and the two ports on the Apple adapter are connected with all pins... it might work.
