Help Audio jack problems with P500

Hi guys! I got my LG Optimus One P500 two weeks ago and so far I am very much impressed because of its features for the price. I was planning to use the Optimus One as my primary media player to replace my 3rd gen iPod nano. The audio quality of the Optimus One is decent but my iPod sounds better (wider stereo separation, no low frequency roll-off -- Optimus LF rolls-off starting at 40Hz below, and no hissing). So I'm still keeping my iPod. :D

But still, there are times when I want to carry less devices in my pocket (I already have 2 phones in my pocket and a hard case for my in-ear headphones) and this is where the Optimus will get more use as a media player.

One time when I was listening to some tracks, I noticed some static at the left channel of my earphones particularly when there is heavy bass playing. I was using my Creative EP-630 in-ears and it's been with me for more than 2 years so I thought that the left driver was already busted (or there was some accumulation of you know what in it :p). So I plugged in my EP-630 to my laptop and iPod using the same songs where I heard the static but I heard no static from my laptop and iPod. Then I plugged in other my other headphones to my Optimus -- and yes -- I heard those bass static at the left channel. So it's very much possible that my Optimus has a problem with its headphone jack.

P500 users, do you experience the same issues with your audio jack? I'm planning to send my phone in to an LG service center to have my audio jack fixed under warranty.
