Help Audio Out and Volume Setting Behavior

sdth

Lurker
Hi all. I've been using this phone for a couple months & it's great except for two things.

1: My previous HTC Evo 4G would remember separate volume settings for media volume depending on the output device (device speaker, plugged in headphones, or Bluetooth). The Note 2 seems to reset to a 50% level when it detects a change. I'd like to get the memmory back.

2: The Evo could be plugged into my car's audio aux-in port and connected to the Bluetooth hands free system simultaneously. It would run media audio through the headphone port and any call audio over the bluetooth connection. The Note 2 seems to get confused and doesn't output anything when I receive or make a call.

Any suggestions for either issue?

Thanks in advance.

1) I think someone else had mentioned that there's some sort of "safety" volume that makes the Note 2 do that because they noticed the same situation you're experiencing. Some apps were suggested that help create audio profiles that can switch the volumes for you. I decided to try the one called Quick Profiles and it has worked perfectly for my needs. Check through the threads, as this discussion just took place last week.

2) If the bluetooth connection is A2DP, connect your phone via bluetooth, then go into bluetooth settings and it should allow you to switch on/off what you'd like to have feeding audio via bluetooth. If you un-toggle media, it should allow you to still have the phone settings output via bluetooth. Not sure if that will resolve your issue, but hopefully it will.
