Audio to car issues

I've seen some posts about this but can't find a solution. I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with bluetooth. I want to be able to play my music off of Google Music or any other app, and stream music through Pandora.

My girlfriend has an iPhone and can hook up via usb and the titles and artists show up on the screen. She can also control the music with the car controls. If I hook mine up, I just get a read error.

I can play music over bluetooth or through the aux cable, but I don't get song info on the car display, nor can I control the music through the car's controls. What can I do to get the song info on the display and have the ability to control the music through the car?

Probably more an issue with the bluetooth protocols in your car.
I stream pandora from my GN to my car and I can control the music and some music info. The last model of my car (infiniti M35, had only bluetooth) could not but current model (M37) has bluetooth and bluetooth audio. For me that was the difference.

Yes, its going rely heavily on your radio and what it supports.

Obviously, USB isn't going to work since the Nexus only supports MTP (which very few radios support). Bluetooth should have some level of control from the car controls on normal music players (although Pandora might be iffy, since it doesn't really use standardized controls). And AUX is well, AUX. Analog stereo input. Not much else.

Also, I've noticed that modern car radios are heavily designed around iDevice support. So I guess its only natural to assume that the radio will have more features for iDevices than others.
